Good News ~~ Research and talking to many former patients, we were told that the PSA level would be extremely high (as high as 8 or 9) immediately after treatment. The average person or research told us that it would take 6 months - one year to get in the low ranges 2 and below. John had to be tested the day after treatment ended and again in 6 months. It normally should drop over time after any proton therapy. However, there can be an initial rise during and immediately after treatment due to inflammation of the prostate gland from the radiation or proton therapy which is why it can be so high. I am so happy to report his results were 2.6. I guess we did something right and are extremely blessed to get this result. John completely changed his diet and did many of the things I have been doing for years. This is a big part of this whole process. If you don't change what you are eating, drinking and doing, it is my belief, you will not get rid of cancer or keep it away. That will be my next post which we will share what he did (with my nagging...lol) what he ate what supplements he took, etc. It will be later this week. We are so happy ~~ John went right back to playing softball, golfing and his normal routine with the Quality of Life we wanted to keep and took the time to make sure we would. Thank to all of you who prayed, helped and encouraged us along the journey.
